From 25 July to 12 August, London will be completely enthralled by the Olympic Games; a spectacle of enormous proportions. London can be reached by boat, however during the games you must be in possession of a mooring, otherwise you won’t be allowed onto the Thames! 2012 Marina is offering moorings for yachts (South Dock Marina and Greenwich Yacht Club) and motor boats (Millwall Dock). The price of these moorings depends on the length of the vessel and is the same for all locations.

In South Dock Marina/Greenland Dock, on the south bank of the Thames, in the heart of London, we have numerous moorings available for yachts. There is an Underground station near to the marina and you can get to the Olympic Centre in Greenwich, where various activities such as concerts, will be provided, in just two stops. The Olympic Village is also just a few stops away. There is also a large shopping centre with a 24-hour Tesco hypermarket, McDonalds, a range of restaurants and pubs and a cinema complex.

In the legendary Greenwich Yacht Club, yachts can moor on the tidal river Thames (between fore and aft buoys).  Unique: these moorings include (temporary) ‘membership' of this Yacht Club. Excellent public transport links within walking distance.

Mill wall Dock. In Canary Wharf the financial heart of London, lies Millwall Dock. Via the lock to West India Dock (where a number of Tall Ships, including the Clipper Stad Amsterdam, mega-yachts and cruise liners will be moored during the Olympic Games) we have Millwall Dock moorings which can be reached by a fixed bridge that is 8 metres high. There are excellent links with both the Olympic Village and the city centre with the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and underground. It is walking distance to many restaurants, pubs, a cinema and shopping centres.
