Greenwich Yacht Club
During Sail Royal Greenwich and the Summer Games, owners of yachts up to twelve metres long can not only reserve a 2012 Marina mooring in the South Dock Marina but can also moor at the legendary Greenwich Yacht Club (founded in 1908) on the Thames. Moreover, you will even be given temporary ‘membership’ of this exceptional English Yacht Club.
ACCESSIBILITY TO TIDAL MARINAS
Moorings are located in the Thames where there is a tidal range in the summer of between four and seven metres. The vessels are moored between fore and aft buoys. A tender service (from 09:00 to 17:00) or a dinghy can take you to the quay. Metro station North Greenwich is within walking distance and the train can take you from here to the Olympic locations within a few stops. Quayside facilities such as showers and a restaurant can be found at the Greenwich Yacht Club.
ORANJECAMPING
There is also an Oranjecamping facility immediately next to Greenwich Yacht Club!
