VIP THAMES TALL SHIP CRUISE + TOWER BRIDGE + FIREWORKS:
The VIP package includes:
- Daily departure at 6:30pm (Parade of Sail: 12:00noon)
- The duration of the cruise is 3.5-4 hours
- Route Royal Arsenal Pier - Tower Bridge - Royal Arsenal Pier (see Sailing Route Map). On 9 September Parade of Sail: Royal Arsenal Pier - Maritime Greenwich - Margaretness - Royal Arsenal Pier)
- Passing by the impressive fleet of Tall Ships moored in the river near Maritime Greenwich
- A welcome drink in the reception area
- Dinner/lunch Buffet (see description below)
- At the end of the cruise a spectacular fireworks display
An Historic Reception Venue
The Greenwich Heritage Centre is the reception location for you at the beginning of the evening. At the time of Henry VIII, this building served as a Royal Dockyard before later becoming part of the Royal Arsenal. Once everybody is ready you will walk over to the Royal Arsenal Pier where you will board your Tall Ship. The friendly crew will give you a warm welcome, taking care of you and your company on board as you then cast off and set course upriver towards Tower Bridge.
A Route full of highlights
Cruising on the Thames aboard one of the Tall Ships you will be blessed with stunning views of the sights of London, the perfect place to soak up the sights and sounds of this capital city in full swing. During the trip you will pass through the Thames Barrier, towards the Emirates Air-Line and the O2 Arena with fantastic views of Canary Wharf. The route continues along by the Old Royal Naval College, the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park and the Cutty Sark all in central riverside Greenwich before cruising on to Tower Bridge. A route you will sail from the western to the eastern hemisphere and back, passing through the 0° meridian.
Your ship will be at a perfect location to witness the spectacular fireworks display on the river Thames near Royal Greenwich.
At the end of the evening your ship will return again to Royal Arsenal Pier.
Parade of Sail (Tuesday 9 September)
During the Sailing Trip you will pass through the Thames Barrier, towards the O2Arena with fantastic views of Canary Wharf. The route continues along by the Old Royal Naval College, the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park and the Cutty Sark. You sail from the eastern to the western hemisphere and back, passing the 0 ° meridian. After you have passed the Cutty Sark, the ships will start forming the Parade of tall Ships. Your Tall Ship is participating the largest Parade of Tall Ships on the majestic Thames in 25 years. After the start of the Parade you will sail in the Parade downstream until Margaretness limit. There will be an official salute to the Tall Ships at Maritime Greenwich and Woolwich. There you have a last goodbye to all the other Tall Ships and sail back to Woolwich where you will go back ashore.
The catering
The menu of the VIP Thames Tall Ship Cruise is a culinary Dinner Buffet:
- Scandinavian pasta’s with Norwegian shrimps and salmon, smoked mackerel, mussels and pickled herring
- Russian salad garnished with salami, ham with asparagus and stuffed eggs
- Waldorf salad with nuts and tangerines
- Boeuf Bourguignon, potatoes mousseline
- Various sauces
- Baguettes, butter, olive oil and aioli
- After dinner savoury snacks, pastry
- Drinks are not included but there is a cash bar where you can buy coffee, tea, wine, beer and soft drinks
Prices
Adult price is £149.90. Children under 15 pay only £99.90. Concession for students and seniors at £139.90. On 9 September there is the spectacular Parade of Sail. For this cruise Adult price is £159.90. Children under 15 pay only £109.90. Concession for students and seniors at £149.90.
